Iteration after iteration led to an easy-to-recognize and versatile logo and icon
The Logo(s)
First Iteration - the concept of embracing the space theme started early and stuck. This version just happened to not quite fit the final vision...for now
First version of what became the primary logo. This version is meant to remind the viewer of the arc of a moonball shot, but the ball itself wasn't distinguishable as a tennis ball (as opposed to a basketball or baseball).
Alternate version for the whole ball logo concept. Like the first version of the half ball, it missed the mark for recognition and, instead, inspired thoughts of pickleball (BIG no-no).
WINNER WINNER! Inspired by the first version with the rings, the band is now tight against the ball and anyone can instantly recognize the tennis ball.
The two o's in moonball are combined to visually resemble a panel on a tennis ball while implying the endless loop of a competitive rally.
